Benefits – Studying at UMIT

HomeStudies Private University

Studying without the numerus clausus

There is no numerus clausus in Austria. At UMIT, we only conduct admission interviews for the study programs Psychology, Mechatronics and Business Administration.

Studying in Tyrol

Tyrol is not only a science and research location, Tyrol also offers a very high quality of life due to its special geographic location within the Alps, as well as due to its closeness to nature: in winter, the Tyrolean mountains become a paradise for skiers and snowboarders, whereas in summer, they invite you to go hiking and climbing. However, apart from the wide range of sporting opportunities, Tyrol also offers an attractive cultural environment: Hall and Innsbruck play host to many cultural events and the charming little cafés and bars in both city centers invite you to stay and linger a while.

Place to study guaranteed

The current discussion on support policy, selection procedures and knock out exams at public universities in Germany and Austria makes this high-quality university training in Business Administration at one of the largest private universities in Austria an interesting alternative for potential students. At UMIT we neither have an introductory and orientation period for our programs nor knockout exams. We want to offer our students optimum study conditions and provide them with personal and target-oriented support throughout their six-semester studies. This allows students to finish their studies in the minimum period of time and there will be no waiting times due to a lack of seminar places.

Efficient organization of studies

The course of studies is divided into weekly classes as well as self-studies based on course books, lecture notes and other teaching material (e.g. homework assignments, question catalogues, etc.).

Thanks to the fact that lectures only start in the afternoon after 2pm, students can continue with time-limited or temporary employment while studying, although this might prolong the duration of their studies depending on the extent of working hours.

Minimum duration of studies

Small study groups and lecturers who support the students individually and personally, as well as the excellent service provided by our Study Management Office, are the reason why students are able to finish their studies in minimum time.

Lectures in small groups

We place a great emphasis on intensive training and close contact between teachers and students. Therefore we only accept a maximum of 35 students each year.

Studying without affecting the number of waiting semesters

Studying at UMIT does not reduce the number of waiting semesters at a German university. Consequently, the studies at UMIT may be considered as ideal preparatory training for further studies, either in the field of health care (like Medicine, Psychology or Pharmacology) but also in the field of economics.
